Carol and I have been members since the parish was founded in 1978.
Minnehaha GOP:
I’m a Precinct Committeeman and member of the Minnehaha County Central Committee. I was a delegate to the 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 SD GOP State Conventions.
Siouxland Republican Women:
I have been an active member (yes men can be members, we just can’t vote). SRW is one of the best sources of information on what is happening at all levels of government.
U.S. Jaycees::
I was awarded an Ambassadorship and Honorary Life Membership for my involvement with the organization and our community.
MS Society:
I started serving as a volunteer providing communications for the MS Walk and the MS 150 Bike Ride in 1993.
Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL)
I‘m Certified as an Instructor, Mentor, and Examiner. Over over 10 years, I mentored dozens of students in Emergency Communications for the ARRL through the Connecticut Distance Learning Center. As an Examiner, I have served as the liaison for the Sioux Falls area and have participated in over 100 examination sessions to administer Amateur Radio Exams for the FCC.
Sioux Empire Amateur Radio Club:
I was Treasurer for 10 years and served as a Director for two additional years.
National Rifle Association:
I’m a Benefactor Life Member and an NRA Certified Instructor in Rifle, Pistol, Home Firearms Safety and Personal Protection. I have run safety programs for the U.S. Jaycees, 4H, Girl Scouts, The Outdoor Campus, Sioux Empire Youth Outdoors, and the Junior Olympic Shooting Program. I’m currently certified to teach the SD Enhanced Pistol Permit course.
